Message from the President

Our school was founded in 1962 in what is now Sosa City as the boys' division of Chiba Prefectural Keiai High School. It moved to its current location in 1971 and was approved as Yokoshiba Keiai High School in 1975. It is a coeducational, full-time high school with a special college entrance course and a regular course.

The school's name, "Keiai," comes from the motto of the Meiji era great Saigo Takamori, "Respect Heaven and Love People."

The founder, Nagatoji Masashi, was impressed by the idea of "respect for heaven and love for people" and made this the founding spirit of the school, naming it after the place and respect for people.

At our school, we aim to develop students into people who embody the spirit of our founding and who realize their career goals by humbly disciplining themselves, while also showing compassion, respect, and infinite love for others, by respecting and pursuing the truth, and by cultivating a heart that loves others broadly.

To all junior high school students, we hope you have a fulfilling high school life at Yokoshiba Keiai High School.

Chairman: Kenji Kurosu

Principal's Greetings

Yokoshiba Keiai High School implements "10 minutes of morning reading", "Relearning", the school-set subject "Multi-Basic", and "Japanese Language Proficiency Test" in all grades. "Relearning" is a solid foundation that aims to improve academic ability by making the learning foundation solid. After building the foundation, we aim to improve academic ability through daily learning activities.
Our school aims to realize a career path that allows each individual to go where they want to go, not where they can go, and our teachers and staff will do their best to support them.
Those who live in the "Reiwa era" are required to have the ability to survive in the era of "100 years of life". Those who live in the "era of artificial intelligence (A/I)" are required to have the ability to compete with artificial intelligence. That ability is "reading comprehension". In order to acquire "reading comprehension", which is the weakness of artificial intelligence, all grades will work on "morning reading" and "Japanese Language Proficiency Test" as well as classes.
We, the teachers and staff, will carry out the following educational activities, keeping in mind the founding spirit of "respect heaven and love people".

1. We will develop individuality and abilities, which are the source of the will to live, and increase self-esteem.
2. We will develop strong bodies and healthy minds through club and art activities.
3. We aim to create a school that is open to the community, trusted by the community, and indispensable to the community.

Principal Hideyuki Shiratori
